80 ml sunflower oil

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

180 g low-fat evaporated milk

2 whole eggs, lightly beaten

1/2 cup sugar

50 g plain flour

50 g wholemeal flour

50 g unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp almond flakes


1In a saucepan, oil, vanilla extract, evaporated milk and sugar - stir over low heat until sugar has dissolved

2Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly

3In a large mixing bowl, combine both flours, cocoa powder and baking powder

4Add beaten eggs into evaporated milk mixture and mix well

5Pour eggs mixture into flour mixture, stir and combine well. Cake batter should be runny

6Pour into rice cooker and sprinkle almond flakes

7Cook for 20-30mins or until toothpick inserted comes out clean

8Cool the cake before turning it out

9Serve and enjoy immediately!
